Teaching and research focus is in the area of manufacturing automation which includes: robotics, computerized machine tool design and modeling; fuzzy, genetic and neural network application for manufacturing production enhancement and control; reconfigurable fixtures for machining and assembly; bio-mimicry and robots; intelligent sequencing and scheduling in flexible manufacturing cells that include dead-lock resolution and management on robot centered cells; metal cutting models; and medical robotics.
